MN Cold Weather Rule

Minnesota has a “Cold Weather Rule” that regulates residential electric service disconnections between October 15 and April 15, if disconnection would affect the primary heat source.

It is important to understand, that to be protected by the "Cld Weather Rule", you must, as of October 15, be current in paying your bill or have entered into a payment arrangement.  You also must be current with payments under that arrangement.  Click the link below for more information and energy assistance information.
